What attracted you to Rochester Youth Year?
One of the main attractions of Rochester Youth Year for me was that it allows me to experience Rochester while I build my connections in the community and develop my skills, like grant writing, to be successful in the nonprofit field.

How would you describe yourself?
I would describe myself as a very altruistic person, but to a fault sometimes. I am also a very sports-oriented person my whole life whether it’s playing or coaching soccer or hockey.

Why do you find meaning in service?
I find meaning in service, because I really want to give back to my community and support those in my community that need help.

How does RYY fit into your professional goals?
RYY fits into my professional goals by helping me build my skills and connections to allow me to make the biggest impact in my community.

What’s one fact that some people don’t know about you?
I have been known to sleep walk and talk in my sleep.

If you could be any animal, what would you be?
I would be an eagle, because I want to experience the ability to fly and see the world’s landscape from a bird’s eye view.
