FAQ for Prospective Host Organizations

Apply to Host a RYY Fellow
Eligibility
To be eligible, your organization must:
- Be a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, school or government agency based in the city of Rochester, NY
- Prioritize programs which utilize asset-based models of youth development
- Be operational for at least one year with at least one full-time staff member
- Possess the capacity to supervise a fellow
- Contribute a cost share sum not to exceed $5,000 to help defray the cost of a Fellow’s living stipend
- Provide the Fellow with adequate work space and the tools necessary to accomplish their goals
- Submit the necessary application documents

Host a Rochester Youth Year Fellow
Hosting a RYY Fellow is a great way for non-profit organizations to gain a talented and motivated full-time employee at a fraction of the typical salary. Fellows can be invaluable resources in the development and implementation of new projects and increase the capacity of your organization to more efficiently meet its goals and advance its mission.
RYY Fellows are selected from among the top college graduates in the region. Because Fellows have the opportunity to select from a diverse pool of placements, your agency will receive a Fellow who has a clear interest in the work and mission of the organization.
