RYY Fellowship Application
The Benefits of RYY
- A modest bi-weekly living allowance
- A $5,350 AmeriCorps Education Award or a $1,500 final stipend
- Forbearance, deferment, or repayment of interest accrued, on qualified student loans
- Non-competitive eligibility for most federal jobs after term of service
- Healthcare and prescription drug coverage
- Relocation expense reimbursement or allowance, if eligible
- Ten personal days and ten sick days
- Professional development opportunities
- Child care allowance, if eligible
- Life insurance (can waive)
The Requirements of RYY
- Graduating senior from one of the Rochester Regional Network colleges
- Ability to commit one year of full-time service to a youth serving agency after graduation

RYY will allow you to establish deep roots and form a vast network in the region you’ve called home for four years or more. Working with residents, nonprofit organizations, government leaders, and educators, RYY is your chance to engage in the Rochester community and your opportunity to make Rochester a more vibrant city. Included with you application materials, respond (300-500) to the following question: What local, national, or global challenge most concerns you? What action have you taken to address that concern?
